CLASS 421 PROJECT

18.8.2017

The Class 421 project has officially started! I aim for this to be my most accurate and detailed train project ever. Hopefully soon we'll have a train looking like the one on the right.

Initially, this train will be released with a full passenger interior. A driving cab may be created further down the line after release.

Custom enginesounds, bogeysounds and hornsounds will all be included.

Connex will be the first livery to be released, but gradually more liveries will join the first release.

Progress, but slow progress has been made on the Class 421. The general body shape has been formed so now I just need to build on it!

24.8.2017

After a few exhausting hours of fighting with the boolean tool, the bodyshell is finally starting to take shape! A LOT more work is needed on the textures but at this stage the priority lies with getting the shape right.

A few more exhausting hours and we have reached this! The first in-game demo. SO much more left to do yet though!

24.8.2017

A long sleepless night has resulted in a lot of progress being done on the 421. Some more texture adjustments have been made as well as the windows being cut into the cab and some other minor details. I'm making the most of my time off to get this project completed and released!

Lately, most of my attention has been used on making my Trainz route and creating models for my upcoming British Town 2017 collection, however some minor updates have been made to the Class 421. I'm currently searching for some diagrams so that I can accurately model the 2 cab-less carriages. Once the diagrams are sorted out this project will be back to full speed!

Thanks to some lovely new diagrams, the entire bodyshell has received a complete makeover and some fancy shiny reflections on the windows. (NEVER use Wikipedia for train diagrams) Creating the extra vehicles to complete the full multiple unit is my next task, then I'll be working on the little assets such as the bogeys and the interiors.
