FAUXHAM PENINSULA

The Fauxham Peninsula is a fictional county with a train service inspired by the MerseyRail network. The network consists of one main line and 2 suburban metro lines spread out across a large peninsula shaped slightly similarly to the Portsmouth/Gosport one in the UK. I started work on this project in May 2014, lost ALL my progress in August 2014, then started from scratch in November 2014. I have been building the map ever since and now it is of quite a reasonable size.

As of May 2019, the island network line is complete north of Chatnam Central. The southern line between Everside and Rover was completed in 2015 but is being created completely from scratch in 2019 with a higher quality. The same applies with the Suburban line between Rickney Junction and Chatnam Central.

EASTRAIL

The Fauxham Peninsula network has been managed by a fictional operating company named Eastrail since 2004. Eastrail operate regular trains across three commuter railway lines. Most servcies are operated by fictional G54 and G55 units, but the Mulgrew Ferry branch services are carried by rickety old Class 421s.
